Define the shipping split early
Large vessels, platforms and piping may ship as separate modules. Packing lists should identify each installation package so the receiving team can unload in the order required for assembly.
Protect stainless-steel surfaces
Contact surfaces, nozzles and machined connections need covers against salt air, dirt and impact. Loose pipework and instruments should be boxed, labeled and cross-referenced to drawings.
Check the final inland route
Port clearance is only part of delivery. Confirm bridge limits, turning radius, gate width, overhead clearance and crane access between the port and factory before dispatch.
Use a receiving inspection
Photograph packages before unloading, check quantities against the packing list and report damage immediately. Store electrical and instrument components indoors until installation.
