Start from the process flow
Place equipment to minimize unnecessary pipe length while keeping gravity transfer, pump suction and operator movement practical. The process diagram and physical layout must be reviewed together.
Confirm loads with civil engineers
Foundation design depends on operating weight, dynamic loads, anchor details and local soil conditions. The equipment supplier provides interface data; the local civil engineer confirms the final foundation design.
Reserve lifting and removal space
Pumps, motors, agitators and vessel internals require future maintenance. Permanent structures and pipe racks should not occupy the crane path or component withdrawal zone.
Include safe platforms
Operating platforms need guarded access, non-slip surfaces and clear escape routes. Sampling, charging and inspection positions should be reachable without standing on pipework.
